We are well aware of google images and iStockphoto. So we will be checking your designs against these.

Again- use SOLID colors. No gradients. No shiny effects/ Needs to be classic.

Looks like some of the designs are ripping off art from the internet. Please don't do this. We will be very careful when selecting the winner.

Be original. 1 Hour left. Let's see your best!

Please sort the designs by "4or 5 stars" to see the types of simplicity we are liking. Don't copy other designers - again this is just to illustrate the simplicity.

    To all Designers:

Let's see creative shapes that aren't obviously a flame or a 4. If you type the number "4" and dress it up, it most likely won't be chosen.

Also, keep the shape as SIMPLE as possible.

NO gradients. We want solid colors.

I would like to see more burnt/dark orange as one color- not fading into another color.

We've seen a lot of dark red - let's see some dark/burnt orange now.

Look at logos for Bungie, Rovio, Futuremark, Zune and Bethesda. Simple, but clean and timeless. Don't copy their styles, but this is just to show you that less is more!

Hey designers we are getting close to the end.

There are some great entries. We are really gravitating to people who either use fire in a subtle way or create a clever 4F shape. Just putting the number 4 in a circle is okay, but comes across more like a news channel logo or Fantastic 4 copy. So stray from that angle!

@ all designers - From now on, let's see versions with all lowercase letters.

Also, remove the gradients that fade from color to color.

    Think simpler.

Also IF you put a fire icon somewhere in it, make it very basic, vintage or minimal. A flame that's too detailed makes it look more like a restaurant or a racing team.

@jVisualflow We're actually called fourfire, not firefour. :) #17 has strong potential. like to see more.

@keeen - Oh, we meant for the fire to be somewhere else in relation to the word fourfire. We liked that the fire originally was pointing upward normally like a fire.

We meant moving that fire from on top of the word to the left of it.

    Like: \4/ fourfire

also, can you try lowercase letters only? Also remove the italics on the font. Italicized font makes it look too sporty.

We like what you're doing with the 4F in the fire though.

@ all designers - for further drafts, let's keep fourfire as one word with no second uppercase on "fire" - let's shoot for either "Fourfire" or "fourfire"

    Thanks!

@keen I like where this is headed. Let's try all lowercase letters and some variations in the color choice. Still stick with yellow, orange, red and black to pick from - but maybe without a gradient.

I like the pictoral mark with the 4 as the anchor. Maybe play with a few different placements? Not sure, but I'd like to see different variations that don't stray too far. Great start!

@eminence - we like the simpler one the best. However, let's see what you can do with making it "fourfire" instead of "4fire."

Also, make it a logo that can stick on a white background instead of a black one. Logos on a white background seem more modern and clean to us.

Maybe the image and literally be a 4 on fire incorporated with the word fourfire somehow.

@rilawyer Thanks for the first idea submission! We are definitely looking for some play with a "fire" concept, but we want our eyes to be attracted to the word itself right when we look at it. In yours, our eyes are directed to either the match (above) or the oval surrounding the word (bottom) as if the word fourfire is secondary, not primary.

We are definitely open to a mark or graphic, but more as a supporting actor to the word fourfire.

Thanks again for your first effort and I hope this gives you some direction for another try!
