    MB Staff Announcement:

The Project Holder has withdrawn this contest. All of you have worked very hard on this contest. Since the PH will not select a winner, we have chosen ‘carlosaguilerat’ as the unofficial winner, and MycroBurst will award his $50.00 for effort.
At MycroBurst, we appreciate all of the time and hard work put in by the design community. We want you, the designers to know we love rewarding you and we want you to keep up the great work!

To CarlosAguilerat: Can you take the font used in Draft 40 and do the the following:

    1. Take your creative "D" from Draft 40 and replace the functional "D" so that your design will be your creative "D" followed by "iligentia". As stated above, the use the font in draft 40 for the "iligentia"

    2. Take your creative "D" from draft 34 and replace the functional "D" so that your design will be your creative "D" followed by "iligentia". As stated above, use the font in draft 40 for the "iligentia"

To all designers, keep in mind that we are a finance/investment firm. Anything design related to that industry is fair game for consideration. Thanks

With regard to the shield designs, there is a little bit too much of a comic book feel to it. Especially with designs 21, 24, 25. Nice try though.

sorry for the PacMan in #22 , may be we can use this idea in other context. Thank´s for the feedback. :)

Draft 22: Sorry, I just can't get PacMan out of my head. Good try though. =)

A comment for all designers: It is also fine by me if you want to make your creative "D" a functional "D" as well. Meaning you can make the creative D the first actual letter of the name, followed by "iligentia" instead of "Diligentia".

Draft 12: Can you keep the "D" the same in draft 12 but change the font of "Diligentia"? Try it with one or two other fonts for me to compare against.

Draft 14: Can you keep the "D" the same in draft 14 but change the font of "Diligentia"? Try it with one or two other fonts for me to compare against.

I think we are getting closer.

Review of Drafts 8 - 10: I would agree that at times more is less - and our logo may in fact be one of those examples. However, the design of the letter "D" looks like a cow (or devil) horn is slashing into the letter. I wouldn't want any of our clients to think our firm is devilish, especially considering we are handling their money.

Review of Draft 6: I really like the 3D, glossy effect, however I don't think a sphere really communicates anything about our name, service, or industry. I recommend a 3D glossy effect on something more relevant.

Draft 3: Making a play off of the letter "D" is not a bad idea. Working with any of the letters in any variation is fine with me, so long as it can be easily read somewhere (along the bottom such as this draft shows is fine as well). My initial thought on the matter is that playing with the lettering (as with this draft) may be easier than creating some type of unrelated logo (such as the helmet from Draft 2). For example, "Diligentia" is Latin so it would be tough (but not impossible) to create a marketing (and clearly understandable) link between a Latin word and a tangible object.

    Food for thought.

    Dear PH,
you can eliminate a design and/or give 1 to 5 stars.
Of course if you give 5 stars, means that the designer have done exactly what you want.
1 star means that the designer is very far from what you want :)

Feedbacks are very important for us (designers) as the rating with the stars: in this way we can understand what you want for your logo.

However, you can write to the staff if you have any questions about a Project Holder can or can not do.

I hope that i was able to help you.

    Regards

    DD

    Dear DDesign,

I didn't know I could provide feedback to specific designs via my account. Actually, I didn't even know "LogoDesignGuru.com" even existed until a few days ago, ergo I have virtually no experience with how to use this interface. Now that I see I can provide feedback, permit me to do so:

Draft 1 looks like something out of a fashion magazine. I think it is too far off the mark to build off off.

Draft 2 gives too much visual weight to a helmet. I'm not sure customers can easily connect what we do with a piece of armor.

    I hope this was helpful.

Now it is time for me to ask a question: What are the stars for at the bottom of each design? If I eliminate a design, am I even supposed to use the stars?

    Great !
is not only a contest is not guaranteed, but eliminates without leave feedbacks or explanation ... you'll have a lot of designers who will work for you....surely.

    Good luck.
