Just cruising around...oh my, that illistration looks so familiar..hmmmmmmmmm

#78 looks good. Have you tried arching the logo instead of twisting the end letters? Also, the ribbon has a shadow on both sides for a folded roll that isn't there. Do you see that? I think is was created when you reoriented the ends? This design is likely our choice in a few hours.

never mind what I said about the ribbon orientation of #70. It's perfect. Just needs to be thicker so the logo can be bigger.

#72, #73 - I do like the vinyl-cut styled ribbon. Can this be bigger and allow the logo to be bigger? Somehow the ribbon's ends need to be shorter and not extend too far out from the graphic.

#70 and #71 looks awesome, but the ribbon orientation looks like it's not lined up. Can you make a thicker ribbon to allow the logo to be larger? This is looking very nice.

#65 - #69 - joeyhunt, if you can replace the design (flourish) with elements that communicate our brand and lighten the flourish to more simple or elegant filigree, these might work. I like how you overlaid the logo.

The scroll on #62 is a little too "pirate" and needs some toning down, #64 - is getting somewhere but looks unfinished. #63 we don't want any other color for logos than what we provided (black and white).

    #53 - #61 : there's something here, but it's just not quite there.

Hi Billy, Got your message... I'll work on this tomorrow.

BeyondBlond, I really like #34 - I made a very rough and unskilled mockup using it and wondered if you would be willing to make something better like this? http://bit.ly/hs1u6T

Duckcow, here is a rough sample using your #54 - http://bit.ly/efkRji Want to give something like that a try?

Duckcow - yes, the rays can be distressed. I tried making that barrel horizontal and as wide as the logo, and it looked interesting. Want to try it?

#53 #54 - Looking nice. This is a good direction. Can you make a version where the barrels are larger and the logo somehow stands out overlaid on them? Maybe put that splash of rays behind them?

#49 - #51 - "XXX" means poison. We make whiskey. I'm very confused by what the other two are or mean.

  • February 25, 2011 8:51 AM BillyBTW

Ducow: no - less distress. They should be clean and readable.

#48 - trees and flocks of birds don't communicate our brand at all.

#43 - #46: corn is an important product, but I'm not sure this works. We want the image to convey that we make whiskey.

  • February 24, 2011 8:10 PM Duckcow

    Just thinking... more distressed?

#38 #39 #40 #41 - Our product doesn't use wheat, but the direction is nice. I'd increase the size of the logo itself (#8 - #40)and allow the rays to fade more toward the edges. The wood quality also need to be better. Remember, only one color: black (for light colored shirts) or white (fr dark colored shirts).

    #33 and #36 - looking really nice!

#31 and #32 - these are looking really nice. I would try to add some space between the logo and the art above it. I'd also remove "Tennessee" on the logo if that is getting in the way visually. We can add that later.

#29 looks great. Can you remove the "est. 2011" and "woodburry, tennessee?" We will add those later (because they are changing as we speak - and we'll want to choose fonts). Also, would you mind trying a version with the farm scene nearly filling the lid space and the logo placed underneath the lid (as wide as the lid?)leaving space for us to put our "est." and locator lines? Thank you!

#27 #28 - we prefer something without slogans. We also need to make sure the logo proportions are not stretched. You may be onto something here, though. Try the corn above the logo (no framing, tree or ground) with a hint of the rays.

BeyondBlond, I sent you a message about combining #23 with #21. #25 is looking good, but the rays need to be a slight bit smaller and maybe a slight bit more separation from the logo. These are moving in the right direction.

#17 - #20 - This looks like it might work if the barrels were cleaner (less shadow, more detail). Maybe put a burst of rays behind them as well without adding too much more height?
