Thanks to all of you for great design work and overall creativity.

It was a tough chose between several designs.

I'm considering a T-Shirt design project next, so DO NOT DELETE your submissions if they were not eliminated. I'll wouldn't want you to have to recreate the work.

    Thanks Again,
    Carpe Diem

    Rocker,

#62, #63, #64 are cool logos. You nailed it for originality of the artwork. It just isn't gonna work for us. I think fishing charter when I see it.

#61 The bandit shark almost looks as though he is dancing. He's neat and he's fun. He'd be great on a t-shirt with a little humor, but not gonna work for our logo.

#60 I thought this shark looked more like a fish. He also looked quite familiar to me. Suddenly, I realized that he reminds me of the Incredible Mr. Limpet. Sorry, but that won't work either.

    Thanks!

  • Winner - Nice designs. Orcas are cool but they are not something we would use, primarily because we don't see them in the South Atlantic which is where we are based.

I'd recommend something like the similar to the Carrabelle Charters logo below if it inspires you. That's the only thing we've been looking for that no designer has come close to yet.

Junbug, #29 & #30 are fantastic, but I'd like to see one more tweak. Can you please put the "Sieze the dive" above Carpe? We're pretty sure we like the "Dive & Travel" on the bottom right side, but we'd like to see both options. Thanks!

Lancelot - #20 is really nice. I'd like to see the shark mirrored so it curves the other direction. Bring Carpe & Diem in line with a solid slightly darker blue (denim blue). I like the fading in Dive & Travel and the Seize the dive. I also like the size difference in the fonts. Bring Seize the dive to the left above CArpe & drop Dive and Travel beneath Diem after mirroring the shark. Can you make the body a little longer and thin the tail on the bottom a tad?

I hope this feedback makes sense. Thanks very much!

Junebug, Great Job! Thanks for your attention to details, notes & briefs. Great choice of fonts!

#11 - Awesome design! You have put great thought into the design and you have read the notes and used them to your advantage. Love the bold & lower case font for this design. The font for dive & travel blends well. Shark color screams dive colors. The only thing I'd like to see tweaked on this one is to work the shark's fin. The one on your left. It seems a bit small and lacks a little dimension. Great Job!

#13 Love it. It's just a bit to feminine. I'm sending an idea to you via private message. Please make sure you look at it. This design shows nice creativity.

#14 I'm not so fond of the abstract shark, but I can't help but wonder what it would look like if the shark was the "C" in Carpe and either a turtle or a ray was the "D" in Diem. I don't really care for the font of Dive & Travel on this one.

Lancelot, Thanks very much for working that design angle.

#18 - This design shows good balance with the use of font locations. The shark needs an eye. Would like to see the background in white with a darker shark such as a charcoal gray. Would also like to get the shark's fin out of Diem. Can you play with the fonts a bit. I have one member here who suggests a different font.

#17 - Same feedback as #18. Additionally, the Dive & Travel and the tagline seem to run as one. They need to be seperate of each other. Try a designing this one with no tagline as this was our original intent. By all means with #18 the balance of the tagline and Dive & Travel work, so go with it there.

#15 - I'd prefer to stick to white backgrounds. I don't like the tag line running over the shark fin.

#16 - Dive & Travel runs over the tail of the shark. I'm not so sure we like this location.

    #5 thru #10

Lloyd, I see great designs coming from you and they show great creativity. They just aren't what we are looking for. I encourage you to take a good look at the examples below as you continue drafting for this project. Thanks for your persistence.

#4 . Lancelot, Thanks but this design is too feminine. We are looking for a more masculine design than this.

CLARIFICATION to last post. Was curious if you had ideas like #1 Favorite below. See logo for Carrabelle Charters.

Likes... Masculine design with fish bones. Business name flows into logo. Rustic looking scuba flag just blends right in and stands out since it is the only red.

    Thanks!

Hi Lloyd! Thanks again for working on the project. Do you have any ideas that would be similar to #1 Favorite above?

Here's a few more examples of animal style that I like.

    &
These are nice because of the tribal or Celtic style which I think goes pretty well with the name "Carpe Diem".

I like the way you comment on the design, it does push me further to think something out of the box (Creative). I've already checked the links given in the brief.Sorry to disappoint you with my previous artworks.I will try to match the logos sent by you. Thanks & regards, Lloyd

Lloyd, nice job. I like it, but I'm not so sure it's what we want for a logo. It would make a nice t-shirt. I've got look at it a bit before I can really say what changes it would take if any to make it work. I see you're still using our tag line in the logo. We really don't want to see the tag line in the logo for drafts. Did you review the styles of logos we like on our brief? I think it'll help as oppposed to having you randomly draw designs.

Lloyd, thanks for starting things off. I like the style, creativity and artwork of what you've created, but it isn't quite what we are looking for. I see you used the red & white flag in the logo, but that's not a dive flag. The tag line also shouldn't be incorporated into the design. The use of water has a nice touch, but may or may not be something we'd consider using. Most importantly, the diver in the artwork isn't a scuba diver. All in all, great job, but your design would be more suitable for a swim team. Please take a look at our brief which has do's and dont's and 10 or so examples of styles we like.
