Thank you all so much for your submissions:
Unfortunately as this is a winner takes all contest I cannot divide the pot.

The board has voted and #288 won

    second was #253

    third #340

I welcome each of you to continue on to my business card design contest especially 4 and 5 star submitters, as you have already mastered what we are looking for. I have many more designs I will need made and will seek you out in future contest, so keep track of your submissions as they may be profitable for you in the near future.

Thanks again for all your hard work!

To understand my scoring it is as follows:

    eliminated = trademark infringement concern
1-star = I did not like the post at all
2-star = The post looked ok, but didn't meet the majority of my requirements listed below
3-star = At this point I will give you guidance on what I liked and didn't like.
4-star = your design is excellent, meets most if not all requirements and only needs some fine tuning
5-star = you will be in the final vote. (do not think your work is finished though. the more mutations I have to choose from the more likely you will be chosen)

This is Robert, sorry for being gone so long, I will be resuming my task of directing this contest. Thank you all for your submissions. Here is my final bit of general input to guide each of you, further direction will be sent privately.

Okay, as this is the final day for submissions, all future submissions must meet the following criteria:
    - no gradations of any kind
    - must include monotone render like #57
    - "Solutions" must be plural
    - must be able applicable to all business divisions (so don't make a design with just a laser or just a plane etc)
    - no more than 2 colors other than black

The following is what I've seen and liked but you will not be eliminated out of hand if you do not meet all of these:

    - "Shouse" emphasized

    - logos that contain an "s" or "SS" design that can be used without the "Shouse Solutions" included like #155 #57 and #220

    - Very few designs have included the Artificial Intelligence component of our company those who have #220 and #57 with hints of an eye were best received when our board reviewed the current submissions.

    - I like modern/bold/sharp designs. We are not a green or nature based company so I do not like nature based or organic designs

    - I prefer the symbol to be to the left of the "Shouse Solutions" name

    - I prefer the deep blue over the lighter shades

    - I liked the stand-alone icon presented by #155

As far as colors go, we generally prefer blues, grays (including black as a gray, or possibly red. Purple, pink, orange and yellow are not likely to be what we want.
Green might work. However we are a engineering and technology company not a "green" ecology/nature company.

Although gradations of color look attractive, they are hard to reproduce during printing. Our logo should only include one or two "solid" colors.

Sorry about no feedback lately. Robert was handling the logo contest contest for us but has been at meetings out of town. After returning he ended up in the hospital today. He's fine and will be back on job soon. However we did extend the close date. I will try to provide general feedback and Robert will make final decision next week.

Zaids: keep contrast in mind your designs are fading into the background, make them pop.

I've had to eliminate several designs now due to their designers submitting the same design to two active contests. Please do not do this, we as the paying party are looking for a logo we can use. To clarify, I am fine with resubmitting past work but do not submit the same thing to multiple active contests, you will be eliminated.

The pot has been increased $50.

A lot of designs are trending to a feminine mutation of #2. I've not yet settled on any one design so keep new things coming. You could leverage AI or circuits for instance.

You all are doing great, I'm even thinking of upping the reward another $50 for your efforts.

    tips:

-Please make sure your submission is high enough resolution for me to get a good look at your design.

-I will be using the logo in various applications so please provide monochrome and or colored background as seen in #2 and #8 I also like the watermark as seen in #1

-It would help for me to know what you are thinking in your design so please provide a brief description so I don't overlook a concept opportunity.

-Feel free to ask me questions.

To all: Our company has 3 major divisions: Airborne (UAV's) , Intelligent (artificial intelligence) and radiant (lasers).Use these things as a guide for form to make a statement but not as the form it's self. I want the icon to invoke thought instead of recognition at first exposure. If the customer sees something he cannot label entirely then I get to fill the new symbol's meaning through marketing and direct the emotional response. If the object is recognized It is harder to change whatever predefined concept that object invokes. The reason I marked my current preference for #8 & #2 is they both draw me in and make me think. #2 lends a sense of culmination and motion. The dashes can reflect data from our AI systems. The blue the lazes. The spiral the motion of our UAV's. #8 presented a more authoritative font and color pallet. Further the delta design reflects that of the UAV's. The design also creates the appearance of a funnel from which all kinds of inference can be made. Give me something that makes the viewer pause and think and you will do well.

#7 #5 #3 #4 I prefer more geometric design. Also try deep red over pink.

#8 I see you watched the video, the shadow of the plane is evident in your design. I love that you incorporated it while maintaining a sharp clean appearance.Great graphic, font and color pallet. keep it up! Send me a few other ideas of the logo, I like your train of thought.

#2 I like the "s" concept but the color gradient on "Shouse solutions" doesn't work for me. I'm not dug in on my colors at all so feed free to experiment.

#1 I like the emphasis on Shouse but I would prefer a more streamlined graphic, think speed.
