    Hi guys,

Love the bear in #32, but the cartoon fonts are just not working as well as we expected.

If someone could provide a mechanica font.. with screws, bolts, panels, springs tools etc as if BrainBEar had put it together in the workshop, that might work better..

Perhaps a lightbulb as the dot in the "i"? It must look like something BrainBear invented...

THanks, looking forward to seeing your designs.

Good news for designers! Project Holder has increased the prize money to $200 and has also extended the project for 3 additional days. Thanks

    Danielwatson,

#31 is still my favourite at this point.

Could you maybe show me some font designs (to the righ tof the bear), the font on #49 is ok, but is it possible to make it more balloon like, instead of such straight letters.. and maybe have a duller colour for the main body of the letters, with different coloured patches.

I will be extending the project for another 3 days.

Hi CH, thanks for your feedback!

I think you may be asking a lot for $159 wanting a completely new design within 2 days, I've already spent hours on your work...

    Hey Guys, UPDATE!!

Can you please also ADD a design of a ROBOT BEAR, wearing a lab coat, with tank-like Tracks for legs and a biological brain in its head. The brain will be inside a see-through cone in its head.

This could be on the other side of the text, so essentially theres two bears.. one a biological one, and a robot one!

    Thanks!

    Danielwatson,

I like your font in #3, could you make it more..... bubbly? Like more "balloony"? Instead of the metal sheets look, could you have it look like patches of different coloured material stitched together ?

I like the bear in #18, perhaps we could try deleting the mouth, and making the eyes even smaller?
I'm also unsure about the hair on each cheek at this stage.

    THanks!

    THanks for everyones work.

    Regarding the font;

I'd like a font that was more curvy but large & bubbly, possibly like balloons.. I'd like the texture to be patchy, like someone had stitched it together with patches of fabric. Each patch of fabric could be a different colour....

Also, if you would like an exapmle of a bear to work with that i like, search "tatty teddy" and you should find a cute bear for the brand "me to you."

I hope this helps and good luck!

    Nice stuff daniel...

Hi CH, do you have any preference on colours of the bear?

    Hi Everyone,

At this stage danielwatson's bear looks closest to the mark.
I would probably prefer the body to be even smaller, so extremely large head. Also, I would like the bear to be looking at/ or facing the reader of the logo instead of to the side. I'd like the glasses to be wider than the head of the bear. Remember the bear is a genius child, not adult. It could have a curious look on its face perhaps..

Also, since the labcoat is supposed to be much too big for the bear and drape on the ground, the sleeves should be just facing down without arms showing. Similar to a very small child very a large adult jacket..

Hi ikinggonaku, thanks for your work.

Your bear looks way too cheerful and old. remember, BrainBear is a cute child prodigy bear who is quite innocent, but extremely hard working but also quite shy...

    Bonita, thanks for the submission.

The bear looks a little too much like a chipmunk. If you need a reference, i like the bear called "tatty teddy". Something similar to that would be great, with overhanging glasses that are wider than the bears head.

I'd prefer the bear not to be smiling or showing too much emotion.

If there's anything at all you'd like to see changed, please don't hesitate to get in touch. :)

  • June 6, 2010 11:57 AM danielwatson

I'd like to add - the B is not representing the font to be used, as I know this is something you want changed.

It's simply placed there to show what the bear is looking at - which could potentially be the new typeface.

    danielwatson, thanks for your submission.

I was looking for the words/letters to be a bit more "bubbly" and bulbous, more cartoonish. Your current bear looks maybe a little too happy, too confident if you will.
Remember Brainbear is curious, extremely intelligent, quite shy but eager to please. He's a child genius bear. He wears an oversized pair of stereotypical nerdy glasses with the white tape in the middle.. He's labcoat is so big you can't even see Brainbears arms or body, much of it drapes along the ground.

    Hope this helps!
