We are now beginning the long and painful process of eliminating some of the logos that are not in consideration. Hopefully this will give you more to go on.

Also--We are weighting our judgements toward designs that work as social media buttons like facebook, twitter, etc. So square logo in button format work really well.

    Hello Folks,

First let me say THANK YOU for all your designs. Your creativity has taken us in new directions hourly (and some times each minute).

But we're down to 18 hours so we have to make some tough calls.

We've discussed and we've come to some conclusions:
*We're pretty focused on Orange or Red with silver accents. If you have a 4 or 5 star logo, we'd love to see it in Orange or Red.

*We're moving away from airplanes, suitcases & arrows in most cases. We thought suitcases might work but there are too many travel logos out there

*We prefer upper case As to Lowercase. Too many social media icons in blue with lower case a's, unfortunately.

We're looking for designs that are Bold, New, Crisp and Clean (if you like adjectives). Remember: The goal is to capture the joy of an organized, empowered Arrival at the end of a long, arduous journey by plane or car.

And again, THANK YOU. This project has been our best ever.

I have never seen so confused project. Because there is no indication to go in single direction. For every sort of design 5 stars are given.

I thought I can participate. But not sure which direction to go?

Sorry to say PH. But, you may have to narrow down things.

    Thanks

    Man,

These just keep getting better and better. Some bold ideas and polished designs coming out here. I talked to my partner and the consensus was that we need to stay away from arrows and planes. We're on the fence about stars. They seem to keep coming up. But traditional stars are pretty tough to trademark. Love the ingenuity on some of the retro fonts and playing with suitcase.

A nice smooth suitcase with a star on it might be nice if we could avoid confusion with Expedia's yellow Suitcase. Just thinking out loud. We love the work here.

Keep in mind that we're trying to stay away from sharp edges.

Love all the ideas and thanks again for all the help.

    Sincerely, Cree

One more thing... I'm not in favor of hard, sharp corners. I tend to like rounded edges but not so much as to look comic. Sharp points and hard angles can be intimidating and I want to avoid that.

Look forward to seeing your work.

    And thanks again!

Hello All, Thanks VERY much for a strong showing. Some very good ideas here and I appreciate them ALL. You guys are great. Keep in mind that what we're going for here is something that can be captured in an Icon just like Twitter or Facebook. We should be able to capture the Joy of an Empowered Arrival in one letter or letter-like image.

There are a lot of logos in travel media with airplanes in them so I try to skew away from those. I'm leaning more toward icons and brands that will work even if they're very small. Imagine the arrivalist logo next to the [f] logo for facebook, the [t] logo for twitter and the little youtube button as well.

Square logos are more aligned with our interests than horizontal ones.

I'm not totally fixed on red and silver/ black. Some of you have done great work outside of those colors and that's expanding my vision of this thing. Keep up the good work. I really like the very polished looking postings that are coming in.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who's participating in this contest. I'm sad to only be able to choose one of your work.

You're the best; keep up the good work.

    Cree
