chex79, your designs are basically ripoffs of aadesign and diangga. I'm going to eliminate all infringing designs.

#73 and #72 Aija, I can't wait to see the other designs you've promised for later.. I really want to be in trouble, a LOT of trouble deciding what is the best design! Thanks for lending us your talent! There's only one other design here that comes close!

#74 everything is wrong with this design. Please, read the briefing.

#72 Aija, could you make a version of it with the wireless signs spreading from the cloud itself towards the right-top corner instead of the 'i'? (it would be the mirror image of the cloud of #73)... It's just to see how it would work out... I loved both #73 and #72!

#33 and #29 - Aija, these are the designs I liked most. My partners would like to see a "hint" the other ideas mixed into these: the cloud and the time-keeping/clock thing... If you can find some way to incorporate those into these designs that would be a winning design for sure!!!

If you can't incorporate both "memes"/ideas, just try to incorporate one (mainly the cloud because my partners seem to be mesmerized by the "cloud-thing", which, I, myself, find a little over-the-top or childish, but, depending on how it is realized it can look elegant...)

    #69 and #68 - it's not bad, but I don't fell in love with the type-face, and I think the 'I' is a little over-the-top...

#59 - I like your idea for the logo. When discussing it with my partners they said that the cloud itself is not clearly a cloud. In other words: people that don't know what it is will have a hard time figuring out it is a cloud. Maybe you could work a little the shape of the cloud to make it more obvious. By the way, clouds have their bottom completely straight, not rounded like your version, this may help identifying it as a cloud. Maybe you could also tweak the 'X' a little more for extra effect, perhaps some way to show the "wireless" idea thing...

It may also be a good idea to switch the colors: make the cloud blue and the text green. The correct shade of green can be seen in drafts #32, #33, #31...

#54 - as with #53, the "antenna" inside the cloud should show the background. It should be a role in the cloud... The bubbles too, should be transparent...

Could you also provide a monochromatic version of the logos as done in #32?

I would like to add that apart from the color scheme (read the briefing and see the attached screenshot of the website)...

ALL DESIGNERS HAVE COMPLETE AND TOTAL FREEDOM TO COME UP WITH NEW IDEAS, ETC.

Don't limit yourselves to my feedback on the current designs, since that was done trying to improve those individual designs, and they may not help improving a completely new design nor your idea for this logo. So believe in your gut feelings and amaze me.

Again, the context of the internet application this logo is going to represent is: time-keeping, cloud-based, wireless, 3G (cellphone-based data transfers), no installation, easy-to-use, secure, etc.

If your design can incorporate an iconic 'X' to be used in other logos for other products of the company (all will end with 'X') then it is a plus, but it's not mandatory, as this may ruin an otherwise great design with too much information...

Hi Folks: I've forgotten to make the project guaranteed as I've promised as soon as a 4 stars design was submitted. Since Aija's design reached 4 stars, I've made the project guaranteed. You all should be thanking her! :-)

#48, #47, #45, #44 : the "wireless" signals are not symmetric nor concentric as they should be (take a look at a RSS icon)

sumit128, I would like a mix of #49 and #37: if you put that little "antena" inside the cloud of #49 into draft #37 's cloud, making it "trasnparent" so that the shape is created as if it was a punch in the cloud, then I think we would be in the right track. I would like to see the "base of the antenna" touch the bottom-middle edge of the cloud, but not the circle around the cloud. Just remember to change the green used in #37 for the correct shade of green!

#52 is over the top. If the S in the middle of the globe could be changed into a reminder of the ying-yang and not a simple "S" it would be beter, but I think it is still a little too much.

#51 looks good, but I don't like the extra "circles". I would put just a "RSS-like" semi-circles above the main circle to give the idea of wireless transmission.

#46 - the color scheme is wrong.

#36 I think your design is beautiful but it is in the wrong color (look at the files attached to the briefing). The X is more form over meaning too. It has nothing to do with the briefing. The messages I would like this logo to impart are:

time-keeping, cloud-based, wireless/3g, easy-to-use (no installation needed, no complications), convenience and security.

Of course, it may not be possible to incorporate all these messages in a single elegant logo, so you can feel free to use (and abuse) what you think is best!

#37 I really like the design and its elegance. There're a couple of issues:

    1) the shade of green is wrong, take a look at the file attached to the briefing for the proper green values...
    2) No monochrome version nor a version for a dark background (the logo must work both over a light or dark background. Maybe 2 versions will be needed...)
    3) I like the cloud and the X but I think that it's more beauty over meaning. There's no message in the X and maybe you could have explored the design of the cloud to add some of the other ideas I would like incorporated: TIME-KEEPING, WIRELESS/3G, CONVENIENCE.

I loved many of your other designs where you've elegantly incorporated the meaning behind the logos:

Some are very subtle but all are elegant!

#29, #30, #31, #32, #33 Aija, girl! :-) You never cease to amaze me! Your designs are one level above all others! You did everything I asked for, the X, the hints at something wireless-based, the color scheme. It only shows how it pays-off to read the briefing like you always do.

There are only two ideas I don't see incorporated in your design that I would like to see if they don't break the beauty of your submissions:

    1) the system is a timekeeping system (I hope it makes me a rich man so that I could pay thousands of dollars for your work!!!) so something related to time would be great (hourglass? sun-clock? analog-clock? digital-clock?)

    2) the system is cloud-based. Some "cloud" ideas to ignite the imagination:

#27 and #28 - I think the cloud could be more styled. I would like a hint of the "wireless"-thing in the final design, but I think it could be better realized than in #27. I don't like the mixed case because SIMPAX (or simpax) is an acronym.

#24 I think it's too heavy, and it doesn't have a monochrome version to see if it looks good and it doesn't look good in a dark background and there's no dark variation. I liked the idea, but it lacks something to get my eyes!

  • July 2, 2011 10:37 AM loudenvier

#22 - I like the X idea but I thought the #20 X was more elegant. I would love the ideas of #22 done in #20 "X" That said #22 is MUCH nicer. I think it lacks elegance compared with other designs. The cloud is a little too heavy, and it's not perfectly aligned with the text.

#20 and #19 have nice ideas. There's a crucial problem: the color scheme does not match the current site colors nor the briefing. I think #20 is a good idea but it lacks in elegance when compared to your own #15. I don't quite like the shape of the clouds much. I like the X! Maybe you could explore it a little more...

TO ALL DESIGNERS: as soon as a draft submission achieves the rating of 4 stars I'll make this project guaranteed!!!

#18 is a nice attempt but it lacks the elegance of #15. All comments I did for #15 previously apply here too.

Another thing: If one letter should be emphasized or "stylished" it should be the final X because we want to use this stylish X in other logo designs to make it a "trademark look" of our products...

  • July 1, 2011 2:07 PM loudenvier

#15 I like the idea and the realization of it (good shadows and gradients). I don't actually like the drawing of the clouds as they look a little childish, I would love them more stylish... The rain "drops" look a little out of place too... the only idea you've incorporated is the "cloud-based" but I would like to see if you could incorporate more of the ideas I want to show in the logo (3G, wifi, wireless, no-install/easy to use) without ruining the design.

I'm also worried about the position of the "clouds" in relation of the text because it takes up vertical space even though it looks good...

#16 I think the realization of your idea was not great, and the typeface does not look serious for a software that is meant to control how much your employees are working, etc.
