Awesome job everyone!!! Thank you for the amazing designs and work that you put into them. This will be difficult as there are a few that I like. the ability to capture BIM in an icon is quite difficult and adding hero on top of that really made it challenging. I will be reviewing them and getting some feedback and will be making a decision on the winner in the next few days.

The designs all look great everyone - thank you!! I have selected the finalists - please submit your final design in the format similiar to #227 and #228 so that I may see them against a grey and black background and in monochrome.

431BADTRIP- #216 & #217 is looking much better. please make the buildings even taller where grey one almost touches the top.

431BADTRIP- That is looking much better. please make the buildings even taller where grey one almost touches the top.

This is awesome stuff everyone - thanks for all the ideas - it's looking great!!

INDOSAT - I like #204 & #187 - please make the color building on the left a little bit taller. I like the shine on #204 - please use that effect. Feel free to play with the shine to show motion.

SNOOPYMAN - I like #212 & #213 #211 & #210 are much better with larger swoop - may i see those with purple and the same deeper color as #212 & #213. Also play with the shine on the swoosh.

HSHARP - I like #203 of all the versions. I like the tilt in #201 but it does loose something with the reflection. Instead of the tilt, can the persepctive be from below as looking up at it?

DWEEDEKU - #182 is getting close but I'm thinking of 5 cubes leading into the center and farther apart.

CREATIVPIC - WOW that was a lot - thank you. I like #209 & #205 - may I please see them in blue/purple and purple/green. #195 is good - can we make the bottom of it grounded like #196 with shadow and text from #205.

YONAM - Thanks but I already have a concept like #207.

This all looks great. Think of yor design without text as well - that is how it will look as my twitter, facebook, and blog some other places where I will use the icon alone. Awesome work - look forward to the next round. Thank you.

Good morning designers - great stuff here and it is really starting to take shape. Keep in mind that monochrome is important - particularly black and white in small. Look at it from far distance and squint your eys - DOES IT READ AS YOU INTEND?

INDOSAT - #151 #153 #155 #156 are all good. I think that I prefer the partial ellipse. On #157 & #158 - please make the left building a little taller and the right building a little shorter. Look at the proportions there. Please do a test with #156 - can you make the tip of the ellipse glow at the top and shine down the ellipse to look like movement up the ellipse (BIM Hero flying away)

SNOOPYMAN - Please give a little more color to the right side in #116 & #117 - there seems to be more grey than color. I uploaded a file SNOOPYMAN.jpg to show how to make box taller in #45 and to move it to the left slightly.

HSHARP - I like #173 as it fits the 2-color format. I do like the mirror effect more than the shadow - it needed to show the hero quality and the mirror does that. It is good to see that we can turn off the mirror for the monochrome and it reads. Maybe see a little bit more of HERO in the mirror? Maybe play with the color green as an option - please see the Navisworks icon in logo ideas folder.

431BADTRIP - #165 is getting there but the buildings need to be much larger 3/4 way up the sphere- you cannot read them well. Let's look at it without the world map on sphere. Just a blue marble or latitude and longitude lines - make it the illusion it is the globe.

DWEEDEKU - #147 is not speaking BIM to me. Think of a 3D ameba with 5 or 6 arms - the parts of the whole.

CREATIVPIC - I prefer #159 over #160 #161 #162 #163. Please use only 2 colors and the text from #161. It is the intersection and sharing of information - the connectivity of building data.

LUCIFER - #170 is better. Think of the bottom section as a cord connecting all the buildings together and to an external data source. It still needs to speak to construction information and hero. WIKIPEDIA - Building Information Modeling.

Thanks everyone - I am vey excited and look forward to the next round. Keep up the great work!!

***ATTENTION DESIGNERS*** I have extended the contest to 10 days so that it ends Monday. It was first because of the holiday but I also realized that it will allow time over the weekend to finalize the top designs. My associate is able to review them over the weekend. He will help me give feedback on any final tweaks we may need. I will post that Saturday evening california time. I am very happy with the work I have been getting and look forward to fine tuning these excellent designs i have. If I use slang terms or soemthing you do not understand, please tell me & ask to clarify. I will try to be very clear. We have a 24 hour turn around cycle and not understanding it can become 48. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Sorry SANOREETA #134 and #135 aren't working for me. Nor is #131 Thank you. I appreciate the effort.

#137 is great HSHARP - thanks. Can i see one with the 3 cubes purple?

OOOOPs hit enter and it posted. I like #122 as it can look like a box or soldiers stripes. Can i see some diff colors - please see the program icons in logo ideas. Thanks.

#127 doesn't work. It needs to stand alone without the text

LUCIFER - Not seeing it in #120. please show me #121 & #122 in black and white and black background.

SNOOPYMAN - #123 & #124 is too large. Look at #45 and proportion is off. Please move to left slightly and a lil larger. Let's see how that looks as one version and then make it taller so the bottom extends below the swoosh for another version. I like #116 & #117 but I really like the big fat swoosh in #45 but the proportions are off.

    Thanks eveyone.

Hello designers - things are starting toshape up and look great. Please message me if there is something that you do not understand. I may write soemthing in US slang and forget. I would also like to see your designs in monochrome as well - particularly a smaller version in black on white. Also on both white and grey background.

INDOSAT - #97 & #98 are really looking good. Please also show me #95 & #96 with the text from #97. I think the text in #99 is too big. The purple in #96 & #97 is too pink - please see the logo ideas folder in brief with Revit Icon jpg.

SNOOPYMAN - #116 & #117 are starting to take shape. Please show me #45 withg a larger cube - It is a little too small compared to the swoosh and needs appear below it.

FAWAZZ - I like #105. Think of it as a blue marble with a metal shell that also forms the buildings. Please also show it to me without the rings. #103 and #104 make me think of star trek.

HSHARP - #74 captures BIM very well but we need to simplify it. Maybe the cage holds the cubes in #69. Less blocks (bigger in size)that are part of 4 x 4 x 4 cube.

431BADTRIP - #93 & #94 do not work for me. #90 imply the globe and the 3 boxes need to look more like buildings.

SANUREETA - The text is hard to read in #70.

CREATIVPIC - I prefer #100 over #101 & #102. It has a certain simplicity to it. #118 is cool and unique but I'm not sure what direction we can take it.

ICHUE - I already have soemthing similiar to #115. I'm not seeing BIM in #111 #112 #113 #114. #106 #107 #108 #109 #110 are interesting. Please develop #106 - simplify it to just the big cube with the arc carrying the smaller cube.

Thanks everyone - looks great. I'm excited to see the next round.

Thanks to everyone for their recent submissions. Things are shaping up. I did find out that there is a holiday from Thursday evening until Saturday. I will extend the end date to Monday so that anyine is not left out becasue of the holiday. it will also allow me to get more feedback from my art director.

SANOREETA - It's nice but the text does not read very well. I like the buildings but they will pop better in a simple form. The concept doesn't convey BIM to me.

DWEEDEKU - The letters in #76 and #77 do not work for me. I like #75 with the connected blocks to the whole as a sort of star approach to it.

431BADTRIP - I don't like the BIM across the globe in #87 and #88. #90 is better. Think of it as spehere with a thin layered sphere over it that thecontains the buildings. They also need to read as cluster of buildings more. They step down too much in order.#85 and #86 dont work me either.

Thanks everyone. I will be up for another hour or two until 11 PM California and then 7AM. I'm excited and it's looking good. keep up the good work.

Thought of the day for those struggling or need of inspiration - What would you put on the chest of BIM Hero's superhero costume? The symbol should stand alone as well as work with the title.

Looks great designers - there is some really great stuff to work with here. Also feel free to play with colors. Take a look at the colors for software at Autodesk - those are the products used in BIM - I am partial to the purple/grey idea but open to more. For new people - not sure it's grabbing essence of BIM which is the sharing of digital information about every aspect of a building in a 3D model. I consult businesses to be successful at that. I am the hero that will help them. Ok onto reviews.

INDOSAT - I like #62. Let's explore #58 with the same building sizes. I would like the text to be in all caps. Please make the BIM slightly taller and heavier weight.

SNOOPYMAN - I like #47. Can we mirror the swoosh at bottom so it has same effect as top? #45 reads better in black and white but cuts off box too much - let's look at it with taller box. I like the text, please give it a lil deeper shadow to show more letter.

FAWAZZ - I like #64. Could you make the buildings a little tighter cluster like #18? I like the text. Please make the BIM a little taller and centered with MY & HERO.

HSHARP - I like the digital assembly of a cube in #44. It needs to read better as that - please make the overall cube standout as where its coming apart. I like the text.

ARRIEDANN - let's explore #60 with different building configuration. Think in terms of what BIM is.

431BADTRIP - Good start with #68. The lines may be too much and not read well in black or dark colors. Can we look at it with the buildings in different sizes. It's a little static. Think about what BIM is make it move. I like the text.

Thanks everyone. It all looks great and I am very excited as I will have a very cool logo when we are done. Please send me a message of when you are working and what time zone. If I am around California time - I would like to respond quickly. Hopefully I am giving good clear direction but allowing you creative freedom. Keep up the great ideas and feel free to push the envelope in any way you wish.

Hell everyone - I'm getting some amazing stuff here. Thank you! INDOSAT - The cartoon doesnt work in this case for #33 and #34. the text works better in #32 than in #31. I would also like to see #32 with more of a tilt like in #12. KEATO - I would like to see #15 as SD card sliding into a slot. The buildings in #21 read as a plant. Can we make them look more like #23 with them lifted up by the curve. SNOOPYMAN - I Prefer #52 over #51 with color on only one side. Can I see #52 and #47 with swoosh doing same on bottom as top. I don't like the box blocked by the fat swoosh in #45 #46 #47. #49 is too pink. FAWWAZ - Can the buildings in #18 be taller and go past loop like #35? Can we make the buildings in #37 simple like the ones in #38 or #18. HSHARP - I prefer #39 over #26 as it helps to give cube appearance. Can you add a shadow to #44 to read better? the broken effect of #40 and #41 doesnt work. #42 doesnt read well. The initials on #43 do not convey TECHNOLOGY, BUILDING, & HERO. JVISUAFLOW - Can we deepen the color on #36? Thank you everyone!! I will be getting feedback from colleagues this evening. I will typically do reviews in the mornings at 7 and the evenings at 10 California time. Keep up the good work.

Round 3 3/4 - welcome hsharp. I like the cube inside the cube on #25. I also like the shadow of the text. can we see what it looks like with greay background? The monochrome grey one does not read that well - it looks like two sextagons - the edges need to pronounce more to look like 2 cubes. Thanks. I will be back around 4 PM California time to review any new drafts.

Round 3 1/2 - Snoopyman - Let's see #24 with the purple from #17 - that's more like the Revit icon color (see logo folder). Maybe a lil deeper shadow in that and #22 - possibly not equal but skewed if sun angle was same as ellipse. Keato - Can I see #21 with the text from #14. I like the color and gradient on buildings in #23. with the ellipse blue I'm thinking of global. I would be interested to see if we can pull it down further while still keeping it implied. Thanks.

Round 3 - Logoon - i wouldlike to see #1 taller and with a change in text. indosat - I like #12 and would like to see it with a full ellipse and also with the buildings of #9. We can compare the serious with the playful. keato - Can I see #15 as a sd card or microchip? There's something about the buildings in #16 that I like. snoopyman - I like #17. Let's see it without the gradiant on the block - it makes the centerpiece hard to read if I'm looking at top or bottom of it when you really would be just seeing the sides. I like the subtle glow - would it work on white? Let's try just one ellipse on #20. fawazz - i like #18 can we see it in purple and with a grey background? five5 - let's see what the graphic looks like as a globe. So far it's looking great. I really appreciate the time and effort. i also like seeing how it would look in white, grey, black backgrounds as well as seeing it monochrome. keep it up - I look forward to the next round. thanks.

Good morning designers - thanks for all the drafts! There's quite a bit of stuff here and i don't want to eliminate anything yet. i will leave them up to get a sense of what i didn't like so we don't repeat it. 1 star means it will be eliminated. 2 means that it has parts I like to use. 3 means it has promise to take further.

I am also focused more on the image now and I think what comes of that will guide the text. The text types I like so far are #11 #12 #14 #17 #19.

I am also going to rewrite the some of the brief as it was done rather quickly yesterday - the CSR had walked me through the process so it wasn't my best writing work. I want to make sure that my writing and the links were clear. Definitely read Building Information Modeling on wikipedia.

It's the global sharing of information amongst architects, builders, engineers, and owners to produce the most efficient & cost effective buildings in the world. I am here to help firms get the knowledge and skills they need to move into the age of digital design and construction. I am the hero that will take them into the 21st century.

Everything I'm getting is great - I wanted to make that a much better statement of purpose than it was. I will post comments next. Thanks

Round 2. Looks good. I like the buildings in #5 #6 and #8 specially the one on right represented by thin lines. Maybe a little bit more of a gap. I prefer #6 #8. I like the 3D of #9 - maybe a merge of #6 and #9. I do not like #7. I dont like the font on them all - it doesnt read well. Maybe something like Serpentine or Futura. Keep in mind that this will have either a white or light grey background. I will use it for my website and business cards for now. Possibly to put on thumb drives for swag. A great start. Thanks.

Hey there again. I was looking again and I like the solid color of #2 and #3 - maybe try that with #1 shape. The height of #4 could be interesting to look at as well. I see where your going with the curves as an abstract of a building but it looks a bit like a tree. I like the height aspect of that design though. I look forward to the next round. Thanks.
