  This project, run by a team from the University of St Andrews Medical School, St Andrews, Scotland, UK, aims to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and practice of primary health care professionals in Fife and Tayside (Scotland) towards patient weight and weight management. We will be looking at the communication behaviour of General Practitioners (doctors) and practice nurses from practices across Fife and Tayside in Scotland and will be using a questionnaire (paper and online) to measure attitudes, beliefs and practice with regard to patient weight management. We will also run focus groups to examine these topics in more detail.
The logo will be used on paper and online questionnaires, invitation letters, participant information sheets and consent forms to identify the research and encourage participation. The logo must be professional and attractive to draw health professionals in and encourage them to participate.
