The Innocence Revolution

The Innocence Revolution

A National Day to End Child Sexual Abuse

Yes

As you know, tens of thousands of people and organizations work in the field of child abuse. In response to the demand for unification, and to create a breakthrough in national awareness of child sexual abuse, we're working to unite people and organizations across the country and around the world who are committed to the end of child sexual abuse. The mission is to create an event to raise awareness for the protection of children and the support of healing adults. This event is called "THE INNOCENCE REVOLUTION" and we hope you will join us.

What happens when millions join forces? We don’t know; it has never been done. But we do know that a unified group of people can become an unstoppable force. With millions of people standing for the end, encouraging others, and demanding change, we can have a profound impact on child sexual abuse which is ravaging our children and destroying an innocence that can never be reclaimed.

Based on numbers from The Center for Disease Control, an estimated 39,000,000 adult survivors of child sexual abuse live in the USA today.
Over the next 18 years, America will create an additional 17,000,000 sexually abused children. That’s about 100 per hour every hour for 18 years. Shocking? Yes. But what's worse is that if we continue at this rate, it will soon be impossible to rescue and support all of these children.

Please stand with us to make our voices heard. We'll keep you informed as events come together for April 2013. The main event will take place in Washington, DC, with concurrent satellite events across the nation. Each event will be peaceful and respectful, as the intention is to change minds and perspectives that currently keep child sexual abuse from being discussed and dealt with.

Chaksarts, Thank you for #93. Can we see the same design with the children in silhouette? Maybe a graduated grey scale? Thank you again for your efforts.

Raindesign, Could you do a draft of #13 with the teddy bears changed to silhouettes of three different aged children. 1) a gender neutral toddler maybe carrying a teddy 2) a 8-9 yr old girl with ponytails, carrying a "Toy Doll" and 3) a teen boy with ear buds and a backwards ball hat, carrying the torch? Child Sexual Abuse affects all aged children, and we think the teddy bear doesn't express the scope of the problem.

InfiniGroup can you do draft #72 with the Tag line included? Or post a larger version of the #72 lower right corner?

Could we have some different approaches to #3. Maybe the Innocence Revolution lettering in same blue as ribbon and flame more vibrant. Love it but would like it to have a stronger presence.

I am hoping to find a logo that grasps the "revolution" part of the title. Draft #13 and #14 respond to the innocence part but not the revolution.

Note to the designer: Please use the elements of a child and adult (the adult helping) and also using either a hand, hands (showing helping) and either silhouettes of children or something to emphasize national would be terrific.

Draft #1 was not a good fit as it appeared to say No Children Allowed.
