Creative Brief

Sign Company Logo

Visual Impact and or VI

No

Visual Impact is a wide format printing company, we make banners, posters, vehicle wraps, etc. I am open to using the name and initials somehow, I am open to symbols, graphics, or other memorable creatives.

My goal is to have a logo that is recognizable and memorable. So whatever shape is involved it need to be unique. I also believe in the squint test, the logo should be visible and readable for the most part whether it is seen small or large. I also believe it should be able to be black and white as easy as it can be seen in color.

Right now my design is blue, orange and white. I think I want to stay with that.

current url is www.vivisual.com and you can see the current logo. (I want to get far away from that logo, so reference it for colors only.)

First time using Logo Guru. Overall a good experience. Thanks to all the designers. If I could afford to donate to each of you I would, so lease accept my thanks. Good luck in your future designs. I will be submitting more projects, so keep looking for more.

#150, we need the tag line "sign & graphics". Also, the word impact is lost in your design. I think it needs more presence in your design. Please consider a new direction.

#147 thanks for the submission. Your design is a bit to playful for our brand. Any other ideas, less whimsical?

So, we have tried to integrate the "comedy central" style logos that have been submitted on our website, it just isn't working so well. So let's move a different direction. We would like to see clever usage of the initials Vi, but avoid overly playful designs, we are not liking overly curvy initials. The word visual impact should be should be stack, or if side by side, the L and the i need to look good next to each other. The tagline from here on out needs to be sign & graphics. Colors still need to be blue orange, or blue orange and black. Thanks!

#111, while you did submit as I requested. I don't want the logo to look plagiarized from Comedy Central. I don't want everyone to look at it and say "oh that is comedy central". I mean this is constructive criticism. Please use the referenced comedy logo as inspiration only.

Would someone please attempt a circular logo. All contained within a circle. Words can spill out of the circle, but don't have too. Also I want to stay away from shiny logos. Examples: http://m.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/05/50-excellent-circular-logos/

!!!! Let me reemphasise my desire for the following: I would very much appreciate a negative space, sillohuette version. Possibly our name on a illustrated vinyl decal, or anyway you see fit. Maybe a decal being peeled off something? Make sense? Thanks!

55, interesting. I am not a fan of the b/w version, but the color one looks nice!

That last comment #50 was meant for 51, still both your designs, but I actually don't like 50, but I do like 51, just not the font choice or printer choice.

#50 I like the direction. Not a fan of the font choice, maybe something less rounded. Also, the printer icon needs to look more like a wide format sign printer if one is going to be used.

Hi, please no more submissions with an eye as the symbol. That is our current logo on our website, and I have said kindly already we want to get far away from that. So it makes me feel when those get submitted here, there is a disregard for what I have asked for. Thanks.

Can I see #32 with a blue instead of the gray, and also number 32 in a b/w mode? Thanks for the improvements. Strong contender.

#29, is there a way to get the words "wide format printing" in there as a tag line perhaps? or maybe "A Sign Company" Thanks!

#28, I really appreciate the out of the box thinking and new direction. It is not exactly doing it for me, in that maybe it needs to be more refined or tighter or cohesive, and maybe not so colorful. Thank you!

So, I have decided, please do not submit an idea if it looks hi-techie. I am looking for something a bit more illustrative and personal. I am very close with my customers, and I don't want to feel so much like a corporation. I really hope this helps. I'm trying my best to give direction and feedback. What I don't want is just to see my company name and some random symbol that seems wholly unrelated to wide format printing. I want my customers to smile when they see my logo. Thanks for all the hard work everyone.

Also at this point I want to open to all designers, please feel free to use any and all colors you choose. I don't want to restrict your creativity. Though, I sill want the design to convey wide format printing.

Designers would you mind looking up wide format sign printers, the actual machines. We are interested in seeing an illustration of that style of printer as the logo or integrated somehow. A suggestive illustration of the machine.

#9, I prefer you first two submission over this one. I am not a big fan of the V portion, only because it doesn't really signify wide format printing to me. Your version in #3 does begin to do that. Thank you for your effort!
