Describe who/what this design is about

Logo/Character design for Redbeard Cleaning Company

We are in the process of starting up a Residential & Commercial Cleaning company we've decided to name Redbeard Cleaning. Services we plan to include in the business are:

* Residential & Commercial Janitorial
* Carpet Cleaning
* Floor Polishing/Refinishing
* Power-washing
* New Construction Cleans
* Rental Residential Make-Readies

We will grow the business for some time before franchising it and so the logo needs to be franchise worthy and not just say "we're a small business.” The most noteworthy aspect of the logo design should be the Red Beard of a character named Redbeard. My business partner and I tend to like the more modern flat design asthetic. We are looking for something that has pretty clean lines and not a a whole lot of color gradients. Please no water droplets…they are in many of the Logodesignguru projects and I can’t stand them…no water droplets or sparkles…

Thanks for all of the work provided so far. We have shown the designs so far to trusted friends and they all think we are going to need a character design in order for our business name to work well & make sense in the cleaning industry. The symbolism of just the beard doesn't cut it. That being the case, we want to explore a simple torso-up character design somewhat comparable to a happy Irish version of Mr. Clean with no earing and that has a medium length well trimmed red beard. Pay very close attention to the black & white photo included in the link: http://www.evernote.com/l/ADQilNnk4zJDeYYccaxrkO8v7ywcpJdy1Wk/ We do not want a pirate character. He needs to appear strong but kind and happy. It needs to be very professional and clean as is appropriate for a business that we intend to franchise in the future. If someone is able to offer this logo/character design well they would stand a very good chance of winning the contest as the beard profile submissions so far are not adequate for us to do business with. Since we have received many submissions with a beard as part of the logo at this point, we are interested in any unique ideas that designers have for our company logo/character Project.

We are liking the designs that include a beard graphic. We would like for the beard to be longer and more angular. (I.E. clean lines and not a bumpy profile.) We like the designs which incorporate the use of a hexagon, but the beard graphic needs to be able to stand alone without the hexagon and still be impressionable for certain marketing applications.

Really great work #3! I'd be very open to some more iterations of that concept including maybe the direct front view of the beard as an alternate to the perspective view you have provided initially. Also please try making the B from Beard be lower case in an iteration. Thanks for your work!
