Harvey and the Bean

Online store that sells eco-friendly dog toys and supplies that are only Made in the USA. Harvey is a Catahoula Leopard Dog and 'the Bean' is my nickname for my girlfriend, Jen. The store is concentrated around our blog and promoting animal rights. Portion of profits will be donated to various animal rights, humane societies and dog rescues throughout the USA.

These are more ideas than colors that have to be in the logo, feel free to be creative. Black, dark blue/grey. Reddish brown/tan are the colors of the markings on the dog. He has really cool markings and I think it makes sense to include that in the marketing of the website. Could also possibly use Red, white and blue since we are only selling products Made in the USA. The dog has a bandanna on in the photo I've linked to, could make that the stars and stripes.

I'd check out what I thought of as an initial draft of our logo, http://a1.twimg.com/profile_images/1211242044/harveyandjen.jpg. This is a picture I took of Harvey and the Bean on the day we adopted Harvey and a cartoony version of this photo is what I have in my mind for the logo maybe with a fun font of "Harvey and the Bean" incorporated somehow around the image.
