On-The-Ball Administrative Specialists - Website Design

A standard of excellence. A focus on results.

Administrative Services

We are a virtual administrative company, offering executive level services to people in various areas and types of business. We are results-oriented, and place a high value on excellence in service.

We want a look that will attract high-level clientele, but also want to be approachable, and nice to look at. "On the Ball Administrative Specialists" will be in the header of each page. To give you an idea of the feeling for the website, the logo will be a play on our name. The logo is a medium purple silhouette of a busy female assistant, atop a moving gold globe, while appearing to be busy performing one or two tasks effortlessly. The colors on the website should show off the colors of the logo in the header, and be pleasing to the eye for the rest of the page. The content boxes need to pop out; all the while keeping a professional look to it. We saw a website idea we like in the Web Gallery on this guru website; I have listed it under "web URL" area (it's on page 2, bottom row, middle one; we thought could be viewed as a bouncing board). If you would take the concept of the look and see what you can do for a professional business, OR, come up with a creative idea for our website, that would be great to bounce off and take it to the final concept. When considering the design, think content in a large bubble on the righthand side of the pages; the menu should be in separate clickable bubbles cascading down from the content bubble on the top lefthand side, in different sizes, using the space randomly. This should be done in such a way that it is fun but professional and pleasing. We don't want it to feel "boxy", where everything is in a box on the left, center or right side, which tends to get boring. -There will be a header at top of each page and a border on leftside, rightside and at the bottom. - color in header should show off the purple silhouette and the gold globe, and possibly accommodate the business name in bold letters on each page. - page colors should be cool colors, and show off the bubbles and content in a different color. We have considered a nice cool modern blue, with turquoise and gold. See if you come up with better color scheme! - We will have about 5-7 webpages, so there should be enough bubbles on the home page to accommodate each page. Menu should be identical on each page, with forward/backward navigation, and possibly an area for links. -There will be no pictures in the center of the page; we would like business consulting (people sitting at a table in discussion, office assistants at their PCs, assistants taking phone calls, etc). There should be a background image of an office, maybe.

#16 - could you remove the menu bar above the center part of the page? Am curious what it will look like without that menu bar. I'm thinking it might be needed but need the comparison to decide. Thanks.

#8 - we would like to see the following tweaks made to see how it will look: (1) Remove the bubbles altogether (2) In the bottom black section of the page, above the copyright line -- on the leftside put "NorthEast office:"(address); in the middle put the twitter, facebook, uTube, etc icons; on the rightside put "SouthEast Office: (address). #8 and #11: - on the bottom leftside, where you have the "testimonial" blurb, please add a "read more" link that when clicked will take you to the testimonial page. - add an icon to forward page/website link to a friend

Most of you grasped our concept and took it to another level, just what we were looking for. Some comments: #2 - nice feel about the site. We would like to see the gold ball a background world globe, while still letting the words in that ball be the prominent factor, easy to read. #5 - good start, although there is too much black, not enough gradient color showing. In your other drafts, I would like to see more gradient color used. Please show additonal drafts giving us a means of comparison. #8 - could we see the lady in the center ball be more of a silhouette, rather than a person? Give us something to compare against. #9 - good feel, nice direction. Try a draft without the 3 pictures on the center globe. I'm not sure, but it feels like there are too many photos going on. But we definitely want the 3 video options at bottom of the page. #10,#11 - while these designs are good, they are not going in the direction we want. We're looking for something that will stand out above the rest.

#1 - Definitely in the right direction. We'd like to see same design, but eliminate some of the black space between the Home-about us line, the home-latest news line, and the central block with the content and globe. We'd also like to see the bubbles moved more to the left side and the globe widened. We just need some comparisons to see which way has the most visual impact. Thanks.

Designers, I realized I had not mentioned we will need a "login" for clients, and a "register here" widget for new members, at top of webpage.
