Creative Brief

Monkey Flower Fine Chocolates

Handcrafted in Tucson, Arizona

www.monkeyflowerchocolates.com

This is a small chocolate company, selling confections mostly locally in markets, cafes, coffee shops, etc. It is Tucson based, and the chocolates themselves (mostly truffles) will reflect the tastes and culture of Tucson Arizona and the surrounding Sonoran Desert (prickly pear, horchata, hibiscus, mint, orange, chile, tamarind). Monkey Flowers themselves (mimulus guttatus)are rare, native to the Sonoran desert, grow perenially in shady wet areas, and are edible. Desired Content: Pictures of products with descriptions and prices ( I have some photos but need to take a lot more); biography; company information; and information about the chocolate industry.

I want the logo and the website to flow naturally together. And I want to be able to make changes and modifications to the content easily. I envision something very sophisticated, yet flowing, natural, and botannical. PLEASE NO ACTUAL MONKEYS IN THE DESIGN. There are files attached, including the logo, pictures of some of the chocolates, and descriptions of chocolates. Please let me know if it would help for me to provide any additional content and I can work on providing more.

I really like #8. I think I would use the scrolling picture area for images and descriptions of individual pieces. And the "Products" area at the bottom for how they come for purchase, i.e. different sized boxes, bags, etc. I think there needs to be an obvious link for buying products, like "Shop" or "Buy Products". Also, the two areas at the bottom left (special orders and events / about chocolate) will have links to another content page, correct? Do you just transfer this template, and then I need someone to write code to make any changes, add images and products, create the subsequent pages, etc...? Thank You!

sangomma: Hi. I like these a lot. I don't really have any suggestions for improvement, but I am hoping for many designs to choose from. Would it be possible to try one that is not quite as symmetrical to see the difference? Thanks!
