Sorry about the typo in my last post. I meant to "discourage" use of scales, gavels, etc. Those are so overused. I'm liking what has come up but I'm afraid of getting everyone so far down that path that we lose the uniqueness that we are looking for.

    Designers,
So far nearly everyone is submitting designs based upon the "A" in Advocates. I'd like to see something completely different--a mascot/icon that doesn't really have to do with law at all. My business partner is a Florida Gator fan, so that might be a source for ideas. Also, I like the fishbowl image in our website draft and think that a fish icon might also be interesting. I would encourage anyone from submitting ideas containing scales of justice, gavels, or columns.

Thank you again. We are so happy that you are helping us with this project.

I am commenting to individual designers for comments related specifically to that designers' submission. I will periodically make general comments as well once I narrow down a look that really works. I will respond to questions here too if you have a question that you think will help narrow the scope of the project.

    Attention Designers!!

MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

    Thanks,

    MB/LDG/LS Team

(draft #3) heading in the right direction

(draft #4, #5) i'm not seeing any unity in either design. monochromatic might be better so we're not trying to fit too much in one design.

    Thank you for your submissions:

(draft #1) I don't think we want any individual letter from the name of the firm to be used to create the logo. We want to logo to be independent of "The Advocates Law Office, PLLC". I apologize if I don't don't use proper designer terminology. :-)

(draft #2) the image is a little too reminiscent of a shark tail...that epitomizes the typical lawyer stereotype and we're trying to avoid that at all costs! :-)
