Games

We are a game design shop, headed by a 30 year veteran of the video game industry. We provide our games to player for free and also allow players to compete against each other.

We really like a clear direction, a purpose that is obvious. But we also like giving the player and customers plenty of depth when they desire. We are the oldest, longest running skill game on the net. We create our own games for a unique atmosphere, and need our site to reflect this same amount of creativity and professionalism.

We also like the use of rich wood textures, metals, ivory texture, mother of pearl, etc in our games. It may work for the site as well if used sparingly. Thank you for reading!

@gabimolocea If you are talking about modern, responsive, and easy to use then Yes, at least! But even 2.0 has evolved into cookie-cutter appearances in many circles. Many web users prefer uniqueness, with style and efficiency as it foundation. We want our players and visitors to feel the site is an extension of themselves. You know the feeling, when some site you go to, they kinda catch you off guard in how nice they feel, then they intrigue you in their simplicity and straight forward approach? This would be a good thing to give the site visitor. We design arcade style games for all the major platforms. Most of our current players are adults and up. However with our newer games we are working on, they are for even a wider audience. When a player comes to our site, they expect to be able to get into a game, or competition really easily. This is one goal, another Goal would be to show them that we are trustworthy, personable, and love what we do. And finally, designing the site so that they look forward to coming back often. The web had a different mystique several years ago. We designers filled our web pages with all sorts of animated gifs, clocks, and many different things that were redundant. But we did it cause we could, not that we needed a huge clock on the webpage! Now, it is important to impress the visitors with keen design and subtle elegance. Nowadays, I feel that Web 2.0 is the outcome of web users general, expecting more from the sites we visit. Believing that sites should present themselves as a clear vehicle to the goal we were googling for in the first place. And in our case arcade quality games for PC, Web, Android, iOS and MAC, since 1997. We need to site to have depth, and richness because of our age, but so much as to shadow the fact that we are up-to-date, and work every day to ensure that we are giving our players/customers the best, because they deserve it! Thank you if you have read this far! -ej

Logo: I am open for a new logo design to fit the site, but I am leaving a logo off of this contest so that it does not influence your design. As long as we have space left for a typically sized and positioned logo, we will be fine. Thanks!

I really like the colors and feel of this image: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20846393/colors.jpg. Not saying that we have to go this exact route, but it has a certain refined feel to it.

This is one image of a mockup that I have been working with so that I could incorporate my back end, and widgets: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20846393/ss.png. And here is an early concept I did: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20846393/tournamentgames.mob.jpg. Both are rather dark, however I will be allowing users to change their themes. I want to stay far away from corporate cookie cutter themes, and move toward uncluttered, clean and modern. It needs to look fun, and since we are running competitions, there needs to be a feeling of always-on excitement, yet a mature, refined UI to reflect our many years in the industry. Rich wood textures, subtle metals, hints of ivory and mother of pearl are good. One of our sites hosts one of our latest games, Solidroid.com which may hint at they type games we make.
