Menu Design for a Restaurant

First and foremost, flexibility is the order of the day. We have attached our logo and Restaurant Name (in our signature font.) These can be used together or separately. (We use the logo on coasters, napkins, etc.) The menu format must be a landscape 11 inch by 17 inch folded in half to produce FOUR 8 ½ inch by 11 inch portrait pages (like a 4-page booklet). The sample lunch menu, dinner menu and wine list are flexible and the headings can be changed as required. We would like some form of title on the first page or even using the entire page for the name and logo. We are open to suggestion. (Of course, we will print color templates and use a laser printer to alter the menus as needed.) We require a friendly, readable menu with the ability to feature “specials” and the flexibility to place asterisks, bold and italic type when required. The wine list should be treated as a separate document and NOT part of the menu. The output files must be in the same formats required under a logo competition. PLEASE NOTE: The Lunch Menu, Dinner Menu and Wine List MUST be separate and will not be considered if combined. Additionally, we are NOT interested in the use of photos of the restaurant. We see no need to have photos of the restaurant when they are sitting there looking at a menu. Finally, we uploaded our new logo and name (in font) for you to use. DO NOT USE THE OLD LOGO/NAME from the menu examples or the website. These menus will be printed (one or perhaps two colors) and used as a TEMPLATE whereby the daily menus (with changes, additions, deletions and "Specials") will be printed with a laser printer. Therefore,REVERSE TYPE is not an option.

Please only use images provided by the project holder. If in case source of images has not been provided, you are requested to use images from “www.thinkstockphotos.com”.

Images used from any other website or source will not be accepted. In case you are using images from “www.thinkstockphotos.com”, please make sure to keep a record of image ID numbers as contest winners will be required to provide those ID's.
Furthermore, designers are requested only to use system fonts on all web design projects, files with non-system fonts will not be accepted.
