At this point, what I think would work best is a combination of the drafts #86 and #129.
First take the font from #86 (or I really like the font in #64...but adjust it so it has connection points on the S, near the y, and at the dots of the i's like in #86.) The colors of the text from #64 is preferred over the colors in #86. Using colors/shading to make the text look like metal/chrome may also work well.
Now take that starting point and connect it into a circuit made into a sphere similar to in #129, but simplified. (That circuit/sphere has too many elements, so things are too small and detailed. It doesn't work good when the logo is shrunk down, so a simple version of that would be better.)

#23 and #86 do a good job of integrating the design with the name. Please submit any other design ideas similar to these.
Perhaps the circuit effects in #107 and #108 would provide inspiration for a logo design in the integrated format of #23 and #86. Also consider the fading pixelation effect at the end of the logo in #69.

Another idea for a logo would be to wrap SciTechDaily in some type of double helix like DNA. However, as we cover much more than biotechnology, the abstract double helix could have some type of digitized, pixelated, or circuit design to make it more encompassing of all technology.

#23 does a good job of integrating the logo with the SciTechDaily text. (This is ideally how we want our logo to be, as described at the end of my first comment.)
However, in this example the graphic is a bit thin, where something bigger and bolder would be better. The graphic also has a space/chemistry feel to it, where it would be better to be more encompassing of all technology and computers.
Doing something similar with other graphics (perhaps a digitized effect or abstract circuit design) that better symbolize all modern technology would be great. Also, using brighter colors such as from the logos that have ratings would make this logo much better.

Visually, it looks best when 'Sci' and 'Daily' are one color and 'Tech' is another color. (As in #34, #32, #21, and #20.)
When they are all different it doesn't flow as well. It also doesn't look as balanced when 'SciTech' is one color and 'Daily' is different, even though that may make more sense linguistically.
There are some exceptions. For example, the color progression in #3 looks smooth, even with 3 different text colors. Number 25 also works, with one color and SciTech in bold.

The font used in #19 is my favorite out of all of them. The one main change needed to that font is that the letter 'a' needs a tail.

I marked my favorites drafts with a 3 star rating because thus far none of them are exactly what I am looking for.
Some tips:
- Do NOT use the initials STD in the logo (as in #9 and #6)
- From these designs I prefer SciTechDaily over SCITECHDAILY
- A wider logo is preferred over a tall or square aspect ratio (i.e. #7 and #11 are too tall)
- I would like the logo more integrated with the name. Putting a logo graphic followed by the name is too generic and detached. I would like to see them merged together in a way that flows.
- I would like the font to be more customized. Most of these look like readily available fonts that have little more than coloring applied. The fonts need more custom manipulation, which goes with the previous point as well.
