We are a brick and stone dealer that distributes brick and stone to residential builders, commercial contractors and retail customers (building their own homes). We are a 4th generation family business that is over 60 years old. Our existing website is friendshipmaterials.com (it needs to be revised). Our logo should communicate a conservative, long standing, family organization with deep roots in our local construction industry.

Much of our documents that feature our logo are emailed and printed. As a result, other than what is featured on our website, our logo will will mostly be viewed in black and white. I'd like to use color but the colors should be dark and light so that they are easily transferable to laser printing when printed.

We will upload samples of what we are using now including an order form (sent to customers by email to confirm their order), business card and invoice (sent by email). We are looking for a complete and total redesign except we like the concept of the two hands shaking. We're not married to it, but it has been with the company since the company's start over 60 years ago. We'd like to keep it if possible but will consider dropping it. If we decide to incorporate the hands shaking, they certainly need to be updated.
