Logo for Fitness Facility - "Outdoor Athlete/Military Athlete" Gym
GYM 22
The Proving Grounds
Yes
This logo will represent years of hard work, trial and error, and physical suffering to learn and appreciate the roots and fundamentals of rigorous physical training and fitness.
I, myself have trained mostly olympic weightlifting and crossfit-style movements the past decade and have put a lot of time and effort into the training, learning and appreciating proper technique and mechanics to enhance the body as well as protecting it and making it more durable. I have also trained alongside United States Military personnel and Special Operations soldiers. I appreciate and respect these guys more than anything and myself strive to train like the best of them. I try to at least pay respect to the work they have put in for our country into my workouts and training others as well. Many people seem to relate to this connection between their mutual suffering in the gym to that of people who are in the military going through a tough school or training evolution in their career.
We want these important ideals to reach out in our logo. Symbolizing strength, mental toughness, military, pride, and self-respect.. We also know that many of our clients live as extremely active mountain-athletes in our community of High Elevation mountains in Jackson Hole, WY. We are back country skiers, fly-fisherman, hunters, mountain bikers, climbers, and pilots. We love the outdoors. It is the reason we live here and choose to make certain sacrifices in life so that we can have a high quality of life.
We would also like to consider, adding our name "Gym 22" into the contour of the logo itself. I.e. if it had the "Teton Mountain Range" in the background to express our difinity to the mountains and our close relationship with them.
We would also like to consider adding a white, neutral "Military Surplus" looking star "Air Force Wing Star" in the logo as well.
These ideas are what we would like our logo to fulfill.
Thanks!
