A Black Cloud Follows

The bands music has a NIN, meets Tool, meets, Radiohead, meets Pink Floyd, kinda sound. Its at times heavy, at times piano and strings, very dynamic. Ranging emotions from sadness to rage. The name comes from the black cloud of sadness that hangs over head no matter what you do or where you go. And sometimes the cloud is the storm rage you bring. That is what should be conveyed by this logo.

Dark colors due to the name. but would like the design to work on both dark and light backgrounds. Lower the colors as possible for printing but over all i'm looking to you to be creative. I want to see what you see when you hear the name.

I've always thought the project embodied the the 5 stages of grief. Needs to have a cloud in/on it. It needs to look dark and ominous without looking cheesy and trite. I want to stay away from the typical "rock font" and other cliche rock design elements. Over all i'm looking to you to be creative. I want to see what you see when you hear the name.
