Let us serve you today! Jose E. Barrera (Attorney) My name is Jose E. Barrera the chief Attorney at the J. Barrera Law Firm. I was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended W. B. Ray High School. I then furthered my education by moving to San Antonio, Texas where I was accepted to St. Mary's University to obtain a Bachelor's degree in International Studies. I earned my Law Degree 2003 from the University Of Houston School Of Law where I was a member of the prestigious MOOT law team and also later became a distinguished member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer Organization and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. My general hobbies include fishing, boxing, watching football, and mentoring young athletes at a local boxing gym in Corpus Christi. After graduation I began working at a Law Firm in Houston, Texas primarily dealing with family, criminal, and personal injury law. In 2010 I moved back to the South Texas Area in hopes of bring my legal expertise closer to my family, friends, and fellow citizens of the coastal bend community. Not only has our firm maintained consistent clientele in the South Texas area, but we have also successfully handled cases dealing with civil matters, personal injury, and product liability all over the state of Texas and other areas of the United States as well. Jorge Barrera (Legal Assistant) My name is Jorge Luis Barrera Jr. and I have been in the legal industry for 5 plus years. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended West Oso High School where I was involved in an array of athletics and academic extracurricular activities such as football, basketball, track, and the UIL debate club. Following High School I attended Del Mar College, a local community college where I graduated with an associate's degree in biology and exercise science. I continued to further my education in the South Texas area as I then transferred to Texas A&M University- Kingsville to complete my B.A. in Kinesiology and Biology and received my Education certification to be a licensed teacher in the State of Texas. I was fortunate to meet Attorney Barrera in 2011 and served an apprenticeship under his practice throughout my short stay in Kingsville. Throughout my experience at the J. Barrera Law Firm I have gained extensive knowledge in different areas of law such as family, criminal, and most currently Personal Injury law. My main duties consist of reviewing case files, insurance negotiations, marketing, independent investigations and managing the staff of the firm. Our personal injury firm has flourished into a small business success starting with few clients, to now maintaining an abundance of clientele all over the state of Texas. I strive to work hand in hand with clients to establish their trust, honesty, and respect, characteristics that are vital to a successful settlement. Chelsie Lambert (Legal Secretary) I am Chelsie Lambert, and I am the Legal Secretary at J. Barrera Law. I have been trained by some of the top Attorneys, Paralegals, and Investigators in the state of Texas. I am quick to greet clients and the staff with a welcoming smile. It is always exciting to meet new clients and process new files. My work includes: consulting with potential and current clients, preparing and drafting legal documents, keeping records up to date, scheduling appointments, and making sure the office is running smoothly. In my free time I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and spending time with my family and friends.
