www.honkifyou.com (you may login in as username=guest, password=guest) Sorry but the site is slow.

HonkIfYou.com is a website that lets users respond to things they like on the internet by using sounds. Sounds will be registered in a real-time window in the user's browser - kind of like twitter but with sound. User's can respond to 'Bumper Stickers' posted on the website and those they "honk" at will cause a sound to be registered on the computers of all people connected to the site. A "Honk" button will also be able to be embedded on any web page - like the FB "Like" or twitter "tweet" button - and will cause a sound to be registered in the same manner.

I would rather not cloud any creative thinking by stating my likes and dislikes, but, I think this site should have a "fun" feel without being too whimsical or silly.

There are a few files uploaded which show the rough site that I have put together so far. Right now the website lends itself to 2 scrolling windows: 1 which displays "bumper stickers" that scroll by (like in dating.someecards.com - you can see this by following the first dialog box to create a free account without actually having to create one) and a second window that shows people "honking" (like a twitter window that shows tweets). I am open to other suggestions for how to display the "bumper stickers" portion. The design requires the web template and also a "Honk" button that can be embedded into a web page (like twitter "tweet" button"). Please feel free to contact me with any questions. A prototype version of the website is running at www.honkifyou.com. Sorry but the site is slow as it is running on a slow server and connection, but feel free to check it out.

    Attention Designers, Our policy for stock photos has changed and is effective immediately. MycroBurst does not recommend the use of stock images. However, if you are submitting a design that uses a stock image (ex: website design) it is mandatory to provide the source of the image.     Dear Designers, Thank-you for the thought and effort you are putting in to this web site. It is truly satisfying to see it come to life in this way. Could you please include the following items in the top menu bar in future designs: "Create Bumper Stickers", "Statistics", and "Embed Honk Button". These would be available to all users. After login the additional menu items would be "My Bumper Stickers" in the main area and "Profile" and "Logout" in the right corner". Also, could you please include some sort of arrow in the header area of the "bumper stickers" and "people honking" windows that would trigger a slide down window where I could put selection options. Also, as there is still in the conceptual stage please feel free to add anything that you think should be there. Thank-you and please feel free to contact me with any questions! Joe
