Thank you to everyone. It was a very tough decision as there were quite a few excellent options. I especially appreciate those of you who worked very hard but ultimately did not win - please know your efforts are appreciated and I wish you the best in winning other contests.
Re: Drafts 6, 7, 14 - I like what you're getting at with the graphical component - prefer the "blade" version - but I'm not a big fan of the fonts you've chosen for the "Festival of Stars" part. Doesn't feel very modern or professional.

Re: Drafts 2, 9, 20 - like 20 best so far, though I also liked 2. The v and the a overlapping and becoming a highlight point in the design is a bit odd to me though - my eye is forever drawn to exactly that spot but it doesn't seem to serve a purpose to highlight that in particular?
Re: Drafts 3, 4, 9, 11, 12 : I like 4 and 12 best. Do not feel limited to a one-colour design. In regards to 4, it's a bit odd to the eye to have the font sizes be so similar, yet have "of stars" be slightly smaller - it either needs to be consistent, or really contrast. I like what you're doing with the abstract graphical part though. Again with 12, I like the graphical component and I think the type is a lot better there.

To all: Don't feel like you have to redesign anything based on my comments. I wasn't going to comment much at all, but then changed my mind after seeing how many of you are submitting multiple versions. I appreciate very much all your hard work and felt you deserved feedback.
Judging from submissions so far, I want to clarify again and apologize for being unclear:
a) Red, white and black MAY be used, if it makes sense for your design, but please - not all three together in combination.
b) We PREFER other colours besides these.
Our organization's regular logo is red/white/black and we want this logo to contrast with it, not match.
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you show 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if that draft gets finalized, each color version is separated before final files are sent out.

1) We are a FIGURE SKATING organization, not skateboarding.
2) Please AVOID the red/white/black combination of colours. Meaning, please pick any combination of colours besides these.
