Resolve, Survive & Rebuild

Additional info for a "Subtagline"-"" A comprehensive collection of survival techniques, tricks, tools and tactics."" We are creating a book that will be used as a field manual during and after a catastrophic event, i.e. Hurricane, Earthquake, Civil Unrest, Government overturn, Pelage.. etc.. This manual will be a how to guides on how to survive using items found in an urban environment i.e. how to make a battery using household chemicals, how to brew your own alcohol using everyday items found in a junkyard, how to build your own hydroponic garden using old gutters from a abandoned home.

Business Opportunities

2012 end of world believers, Outdoorsmen, Off the grid life styles.. We are also trying to target people who just want to be prepared for any type of life changing global catastraphy. Wether people admit it or not most think in the back of their mind that something will happen some day. Most people have once or twice looked on line for guides on how to survive after shit hits the fan.. We are trying to target individuals that like the tv shows "the colony" "man vs wild" "Duel survival"

We would like the book cover to be very simple. The book should have a somewhat sleek refined upscale look and should be designed with not just the "crazies" in mind. The books is meant to be a resource so super fancy photos all over might not provide any value... If you were stuck with only this book to help you figure out where to find food, how to lead people, how to rebuild a tribe/civilization you would want every space filled with information that will help you survive. We also would like to make sure it is easy to find so we do not want it to blend in with "surroundings" if someone left the book in a pile of leaves and the book cover had a camo look to it, it might get lost. That would be bad. This book will also be printed on waterproof and fire resistant paper... it will last for years and in the event of a global changing event this book could get pased on from generation to generation.

Hi Paul! I'm a designer and I'd love to submit a concept for your project. I love the idea of a post-catastrophy survival guide! I was just hoping for a little more clarification on what kind of deliverable you're looking for - so this is a book title, correct? Is there a size specification that you're looking for, are you also interested in an icon set to be used in the book or on a website, etc.?

Really like the lightbulb idea! would love to see an option where it looks like the filament of the bulb is still glowing.. Representing a light builds ability to still store energy even when the electricity is no longer flowing. Would also like to see an options which simple icons that represent survival. i.e. a collage of icons Weather (lightning) food (crops) water (ripples) community, safety,etc... Thanks and look forward to the designs.

Thank you for your design submission. We would like to make the book cover look as unique as possible. Needs to look like no other book out there... We are thinking that an option with really no photos at all and unique text treatments for the name of the book and the tag lines might be enough. Possible with simple graphic effects... Think of the Army issued survival field manual. very simple no frills.. I think the army guide is a little too plain for us but it has an element of "no BS" to it. Thanks
