Creative Brief

Ebook Cover

ebooks for entrepreneurs

We will be creating a series of ebooks. The covers will look the same but with different titles. Since there will be different titles, we must be able to change out the words. All we need are PSD files for both the 2-D and 3-D versions. The logo (e-books for entrepreneurs) on the attached PDF is the actual one, and thus those are the colors you should work with. (We’ve attached a jpeg version as well.) The “Your Best Business Plan” cover at left shows that we also want a subtitle at the bottom along with the quote at the top. Again, these just be easily editable in PhotoShop. Same with the author’s name. (David Shepherd in the example.) We want creative ideas and it does not need to look exactly like these samples. For example, the colored tabs on the right edge are just an idea and we’d like to see different concepts as well. The colors on the edges of this book cover are a nice flourish. Show us a swirl, another “e” or something creative. For the spine of the 3-D version, just use the logo or something that splashes the color, but that we will NOT change for each version.

Publishing

Small business owners.

PSD files that we can modify going forward. 3-D and 2-D versions.

Based on current submissions, it's clear that I really want the white, white, WHITE look so that the title really pops out. #12 and #13 got the idea of a flourish or swirl, but it's a bit too much. Just a hint....

I had problems creating the 3D version. Is there any easier way to do this, as I wasn't trained to create graphics in 3D like that. My problem is the distortion of the book outline, and the hard cover is colored oddly, do I change this as well?

Both #4 and #3 are really nice and on the right track. I hope I'm not asking for two projects in mind, but I will need a 2-D version of the cover as well. It makes sense to me to start with the 3-D (as these designers have) and then, just make sure that at the end you can create a 2-D, (Amazon-like) cover as well.

Thanks for the clarification. The standards size is 600 x 800 pixels
