Creative Brief

Carbon Bonds

Carbon Bonds

No

Dealing with carbon offsets, we handle the process of creating and selling carbon offsets or credits for companies that do something environmental in nature or reduce pollution/emissions. A typical company we would work for might be doing wind or solar projects.

Carbon Bonds has 3 meanings that could be brought into the logo.

1. Molecular bond in chemistry: the bonds between carbon and oxygen in Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

I originally wanted to link the O's in carbOn and bOnds together somehow to represent a CO2 molecule (O-C-O). The O's cannot be directly joined (this would make O2, not CO2).

I began to sketch this out, but could not find a way to do it: carbonbonds.net
I dont know if this can work well so I am open to other concepts as well.

2. We are using carbon to create bonds between different areas of the world.

3. We produce Bonds as in Stocks and Bonds in finance.

UPDATE: I am interested to see concepts that do NOT emphasize the co2 molecule i discussed in the brief. i'd rather have you artists have a clean slate and see what corporate designs you come up with.

Guys, lets take a look at other color schemes, not just green.

Hi Rocker, I like draft 26 but I don't really like the font or the CO2 in the middle of the picture. Could you please revise and see if you can come up with something a little more along these lines? Thanks!

anujdate: on 23 and 24, can you try removing the 2 atoms that are latched on to the cb design you created? i'd like to see this symbol on its own. Thanks

anujdate, i love the creativity on #23 and 24. there is an element of an arrow hitting a bull's eye about it that im not sure goes with the theme though.

Frooti: I like this concept; very clean and tidy. Can we try this with a different font? Also, i dont know if this can work, but can you try to join the 2 O's through a third ball, as you have done with the molecule to the left? I'd like to see a version with a hi-tech swirl or curve link as well as the type you have now. Thanks!
