Creative Brief

Camping Gavina

Website and logo

Outdoors

www.gavina.net

We are the owners of a campground in Creixell, Spain. This campground is located right on the beach, 40 minutes south of Barcelona. People can stay in their caravans or in bungalows that we rent. Our campground is focused on families with young children and retired people. Our customers are usually from northern Europe.

We want to change completely our current logo and website. We want the website to be appealing & suggestive. The landing page must be a canvas, a watercolor, a 20s poster ..., of a Mediterranean beach. Our idea is that of an old beach scene with dressing cabins, suggestive of Nice, Cannes, Lido in Venice, Biarrtiz, etc. Of course, colors have to be light and pale. Gavina in Catalan means Seagull, so the logo should be a sort of seagull. We don't accept templates. We don't want to have Flash in our website. Elements of this scene should be clickable to reveal more information such as location, reservations, services we offer (like restaurant and supermarket) photographs, campground map, price list, and bungalow information. However, the landing page should have all the information at a glance. Only when someone is interested and desires more information, should this be available. Next to our campground is a natural parc with dunes, birds, etc. so maybe the canvas could incorporate these natural elements. Since our customers are from different nationalities, we need to have a way to change the language to Spanish, German, Dutch, French, English and Catalan.

We don't want a traditional nav bar. We have included another website of ours, cortijocolorado.com because its logos are suggestive of this era.

the pictures in our website you will see that there are not many buildings near it, just a wide beach surrounded by dunes. In the picture I attach, our campground is on the top right corner.

Artos and Igorvess, I really like your proposals. #24 and #27 for example. If you could modify them so that the beach is wider, less crowded, there are less buildings (maybe put a bungalow and a caravan instead) and the drawing shows some area just with dunes I think we have a winner.- You have captured what we were looking for. If you look at

#12 Finally someone is on the right track. Can you change the house on the background for a changing hut? How can this be changed to avoid the tabs on the bottom?

I want to clarify that we are seeking an original watercolor or other painting type that will serve as the basis for the landing page, and that elements in this drawing will be the required links.

Sawamura, Thank you for your proposals. However, it is not what we are looking for. We don't want a picture but a drawing in which different elements can take us to the right page, not through a navigation bar like the one on the left of your design. Also, remember it is a Mediterranean beach, not a tropical one.
